Cody's Story

Cody Barrrasse touched the lives of many before he was taken from us all too early. Whether it was playing football for Scranton Prep, pickup basketball with his friends, or watching sports on TV, Cody was always a competitor. He had a constant drive to succeed and better those around him. Shortly after his tragic death in April 2013, Cody’s friends and family wanted to find a way to remember him and carry on his legacy.

Our Mission

To honor our friend and brother, Cody Barrasse, by transforming a tragic event into positive and inspiring energy through education and determined efforts to encourage and support Organ Donation.

Our Vision

To fulfill our mission and continue Cody’s commitment, the Foundation will strive to educate others of the importance of Organ Donation and provide financial assistance to those in need who are awaiting transplantation.

As a testament to Cody’s Jesuit education, and the tradition of being “men and women for others,” the Foundation will also fund full scholarships to Scranton Preparatory School for deserving students in need who best exemplify Cody’s tremendous Spirit.
