This year’s events will take place on Saturday, August 15th!

On April 7, 2013, our community lost one of its most unique and gifted members. We will always remember Cody’s fighting spirit, generosity, sense of humor, his love of life and his ability to put the needs of others before his own.

Cody's Story

Cody Barrrasse touched the lives of many before he was taken from us all too early. Whether it was playing football for Scranton Prep, pickup basketball with his friends, or watching sports on TV, Cody was always a competitor. He had a constant drive to succeed and better those around him. Shortly after his tragic death in April 2013, Cody’s friends and family wanted to find a way to remember him and carry on his legacy.

Our Mission

The Foundation’s mission is to keep the spirt of Cody Jude Barrasse alive and to raise money for a full scholarship at The Scranton Preparatory School. The recipient will embody the spirit of Cody. The criteria for receiving the scholarship includes financial need, academic merit, and the demonstration of those human qualities by which Cody Jude Barrasse so uniquely lived his life. And finally, the promotion and awareness of organ donation.

Due to COVID-19, this year we are going to do some things a little differently. In the morning, instead of our annual 3-on-3 tournament, we plan on holding a shooting contest. While we were looking forward to seeing everyone at Continue Cody’s Commitment, we have decided to host this year's event virtually. More details on the exact specifics of the virtual event coming soon!
